Why “Schmeat” could be for dinner, and other experiments in lab-created food.

Beyond the known unknowns of GMOs and cloned beef lie the impending horrors of “schmeat” – a lab-grown in vitro “meat” product, as well as the advent of 3-D printed food. And I thought we already didn’t know what our food was made of.



Readied for eating after years in the making, the advocates of “schmeat” have dubbed it the ‘ethical’ way to eat meat, because it doesn’t involve slaughtering cattle. What it does involve is scraping neck-cells from cows and replicating them thousands of times in a petri dish. Yum! Just like God intended.
