Remote Viewing Pioneer Russell Targ Describes The Origins Of ESP Powers

Russell Targ describes his jaw-dropping psychic missions for the CIA and the origins of extrasensory remote viewing, which he claims is “a natural psychic ability we all have…it was described originally by the Buddhists two thousands years ago, but modern physics has finally caught on”:

Russell Targ is a physicist who was a pioneer in the development of the laser and laser applications, and was co-founder of the Stanford Research Institute’s (SRI) investigation into psychic abilities in the 1970s and 1980s. His work with SRI in what was a new area, called remote viewing, has been widely published. In 1976, Targ retired from Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space Co. as a senior staff scientist.

This talk was on April 14, 2013, at the Vortex Immersion Dome, in Los Angeles. Conceived under a TEDx license, it ultimately was presented under the auspice of Suzanne Taylor’s Mighty Companions non-profit foundation.

Here's something I never thought we'd hear in this lifetime:
We suspect that the benefits to heart health of sunlight will outweigh the risk of skin cancer.
A lot of us are secretly, boldly basking for reasons like vitamin D, mood enhancement, happiness, skin issues, liver health, pain and more. Now there's never a reason to fear harm or feel guilty - you could save your heart - and prevent an untimely death!

The espoused fear for about 50 years has been skin cancer rates (which continue to rise), but researchers are finally surmising that years of hiding from the sun could lead to increased heart attacks - a much sooner demise than the risk of skin cancer in later years. Sunlight does so much more than vitamin D production.

A recent landmark study could turn the modern thought on sun exposure right on its head...

New Study Links GMO Food To Leukemia

A new study, yet to receive any media attention, reveals the "leukemogenic" properties of the Bt toxin biopesticides engineered into the vast majority of GMO food crops already within the US food supply.

Last September, the causal link between cancer and genetically modified food was confirmed in a French study, the first independent long-term animal feeding study of its kind. The disturbing details can be found here: New Study Finds GM Corn and Roundup Causes Cancer In Rats

Now, a new study published in the Journal of Hematology & Thromboembolic Diseases indicates that the biopesticides engineered into GM crops known as Bacillus Thuringensis (Bt) or Cry-toxins, may also contribute to blood abnormalities from anemia to hematological malignancies (blood cancers) such as leukemia.[i]

Could Garlic Replace Antibiotics as a Major Bacteria Fighter?

A recent study performed at Washington University shows that garlic is 100 times more effective than two top antibiotics in fighting Campylobacter, the bacteria responsible for much of the world’s intestinal illnesses.

This discovery follows two previous studies by the same team of scientists, published last year, in which compounds found in garlic were shown to kill common food-borne pathogens such as Listeria and E. coli.

With American’s modern frenzy to over-prescribe antibiotics – over 250 million courses in 2010 alone – garlic may have the potential to replace the need for antibiotics in many instances in the near future, if more research is funded.

Postdoctoral researcher and lead author of this study, Xiaonan Lu, along with co-author Michael Konkel, who has been researching Campylobacter strains for 25 years, found that one secret to garlic’s amazing potency in fighting bacteria and illness comes from the amazing and multifaceted bulb’s derivative compound, diallyl sulfide.

This compound is especially effective in killing bacteria when it is protected by a slimy biofilm, which makes it 1,000 times more antibiotic-resistant than a free-floating bacterial cell.

Unlike modern antibiotics, namely erythromycin and cipofloxacin, the garlic-derived diallyl sulfide easily penetrated the biofilm protecting the bacteria, successfully shutting down the cells’ metabolism faster, and a shocking 100 times more effectively. On this breakthrough discovery, Lu says, “this work is very exciting to me because it shows that this compound has the potential to reduce disease-causing bacteria in the environment and in our food supply,”

Approximately 2.4 Americans are affected by Campylobacter bacterium every year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This strain of bacteria has the added danger of triggering almost one third of the cases of Guillain-BarrĂ© syndrome in this country – a rare disorder that causes paralysis.

Most Campylobacter infections are caused by eating raw or undercooked poultry, or cross-contamination by cookware and surfaces that have touched the affected poultry. Symptoms include abdominal pain, fever, cramping and diarrhea. According to Michael Konkel, “Campylobacter is simply the most common bacterial cause of food-borne illness in the United States and probably the world.”

Konkel adds, “diallyl sulfide may be useful in reducing the levels of the Campylobacterin the environment and to clean industrial food processing equipment, as the bacterium is found in a biofilm in both settings.” Co-author and advisor to Lu, Barbara Rasco, agrees: “diallyl sulfide could make foods safer to eat.”

While Konkel cautions us that this research is still in preliminary stages, and not ready to use in real-life applications, it is hard not to get excited about garlic’s potential. He also states that it is unlikely that eating garlic would prevent

Campylobacter-related food poisoning, but this seems like a form of disclaimer due to the basic nature of the study. The research results from many garlic studies seem to strongly point to the possibility that, in the right quantity and concentration, garlic COULD indeed prevent this and related poisonings, theoretically. Other antibacterial applications – yet to be tested – are highly possible.

Garlic has been used to fight diseases for thousands of years, according to Lu. Some historians theorize that it is this quality that led to the literary myth that garlic could repel vampires. Lu explains, “In ancient society, people used garlic to cure diseases; however, they did not know why it worked. Now we are finding out.”

Due to the rise of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria, not to mention the health effects of antibiotics building up in our bodies and in our food supply, a natural solution cannot come fast enough. A new study by the CDC estimates that in 2010, 833 prescriptions were written per every 1,000 people in the United States.

Southern states, where disease rates are higher, had even higher averages. There is no standardized scientific agreement on the ‘appropriate’ level of antibiotic prescription, but many experts now agree that when they are taken for the wrong reasons, antibiotics contribute to the growth and proliferation of highly resistant strains. According to reports, the CDC is currently tracking at least 20 different strains of resistant bacteria.

For the good of our world and the health of our future generations, our chemically-driven society needs to do a complete switchover from its increasingly artificial lifestyle, and go back to nature. The future of garlic as a potent disease-fighting agent is, to say the least, encouraging.

GMOs Hiding In Almost All Food...And?

GMOs are hiding in almost all food in this country, what are you doing about it?

GMOs are in more than 75% of foods in the US now, and the number continues to increase year after year. Not only are they in almost everything, but since labeling isn’t required they remain hidden and you have to research all the potential ingredients that are likely to be GMO (which is also constantly increasing). Recent research has shown that GMOs are carcinogenic, toxic to people’s livers, kidneys, and blood, and their related herbicide partner RoundUp contributes to birth defects, a number of brain disorders such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and Autism in addition to a number of other effects which are only now beginning to come to light.

Now the question is this, are you going to sit back and accept this or are you going to do something about it? There are many ways to take part, but at this time we have finally gotten enough support to get people out in the streets protesting...

Biometric Database of All Adult Americans Hidden in Immigration Reform

Illustration: National Institutes of Health

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.

Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf)  is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.

Employers would be obliged to look up every new hire in the database to verify that they match their photo.

This piece of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act is aimed at curbing employment of undocumented immigrants. But privacy advocates fear the inevitable mission creep, ending with the proof of self being required at polling places, to rent a house, buy a gun, open a bank account, acquire credit, board a plane or even attend a sporting event or log on the internet. Think of it as a government version of Foursquare, with Big Brother cataloging every check-in.

“It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state, you do have to get permission to do things,” said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist with the American Civil Liberties Union. “More fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things.”

For now, the legislation allows the database to be used solely for employment purposes. But historically such limitations don’t last. The Social Security card, for example, was created to track your government retirement benefits. Now you need it to purchase health insurance.

“The Social Security number itself, it’s pretty ubiquitous in your life,” Calabrese said.

David Bier, an analyst with the Competitive Enterprise Institute, agrees with the ACLU’s fears.

“The most worrying aspect is that this creates a principle of permission basically to do certain activities and it can be used to restrict activities,” he said. “It’s like a national ID system without the card.”

For the moment, the debate in the Senate Judiciary Committee is focused on the parameters of legalization for unauthorized immigrants, a border fence and legal immigration in the future.

Worldwide ‘March Against Monsanto’ Protests Planned for May 25th

Countless individuals will soon assemble in small and large groups around the nation and the globe alike in protest against Monsanto’s genetic manipulation of the food supply.

Organized under the May 25th movement known as the ‘March on Monsanto’, the massive new rally reveals how the grassroots public has truly had enough of Monsanto’s monopoly on the many staple crops that have quickly been sucked into Monsanto’s genetically modified tycoon.

It’s virtually impossible these days to enter a grocery store, even one bearing the title of ‘natural’, and not encounter at least a few items that contain genetically modified ingredients. And for quite some time, this fact was not even known to the large majority of the United States public. Many simply did not even know what a GMO was, or what it could potentially do to their bodies (or the bodies of the children who they were feeding with genetically engineered processed food).

This, of course, stems from the fact that the FDA and Monsanto have decided that you aren’t allowed to know if your food contains GMOs. Even despite the fact that peer-reviewed research has pegged Monsanto’s best selling herbicide Roundup (which is a key part of Monsanto’s Roundup-ready GMO crops) to around 37 associated diseases, the FDA says it’s perfectly safe. So safe that it’s not even necessary to label in your food. So very safe that the only study that ever examined how Roundup and GMOs affect rats throughout their lifetime found that the rats developed tumors so large that it impacted their very ability to move.

It’s madness that has been identified for a long time by alternative news writers and readers, but thanks to the success of Prop 37 and other initiatives it has now hit the general public — and they’re not happy.

The Grassroots Will End Monsanto

Now enter campaigns like the March on Monsanto, which is slated to happen around the world on May 25th. It’s a grassroots event that has turned into a major organized movement thanks to countless local activists. The event is going on in major cities like San Diego and New York City, to small towns and even rural areas. It’s all being organized online via an open Google Document, where you can find the protest nearest to you and be a part of it. There’s also many open slots for organizers and speakers, so if you’re interested in that be sure to check that out as well.

The beauty of these events is that they are really the most effective at taking down any type of corrupt entity, as the grassroots aspect just empowers so many individuals without an underlying motivation for profits or anything of that sort. It really just comes down to people who want to eat real food and not some junk that’s spliced with the genetics of a spider. Or more importantly, the few people who understand that if we don’t stop genetically modified organisms today, they will develop technologically into what’s known as things like ‘biopharmaceutical‘ crops tomorrow.

I’ve said this back in 2011 and 2012, and I really do believe the grassroots will destroy Monsanto within the next 3-4 years (at most). The company has gotten away with Agent Orange and the hundreds of thousands of deaths from that, it has gotten away with horrendous pollution dumps, it has truly gotten away with so much that the average ‘small business’ (a business that isn’t in bed with the government agencies policing it) would never be able to. And the people aren’t having it anymore.

Checkout March Against Monsanto and head to a local event. Hand out some printed articles on GMOs from NaturalSociety or elsewhere, and just try and spread the word in a kind and inviting way to the general public.
