7 Ways to Drain BPA From the Body

Why should someone care about endocrine-disruptors? The effort to walk away from damaging chemicals becomes easier when one sees what happens when disrupted hormones lead to major life-altering consequences.

The endocrine system is a huge deal - when in balance, everything is wonderful. When slightly out of whack, life is Hades. We didn't need a thousand individual studies to list off all the symptoms Bisphenol-A can cause; like ADHD-type symptoms, obesity, devastating sex/reproductive changes, brain impairment and so much more. It passes the blood brain barrier, accumulates and is way more dangerous at lower levels than previously thought. When the endocrine glands get messed with, it's dethroning the regulator of all those hormonal functions.

No one specifically asked for hormone-scramblers on the consumer market, like decades of heavy pesticide dousing, plastics, cleaning chemicals, fragrance, cosmetics, dental sealants, body care, processed food and its packaging. For many reasons, it's here...

We don't have to despair. Where regulatory agencies and Big Chem fail, we have the power of knowledge and choice. Complete avoidance would be great. But in order not to worry about exposure so much - it's cleanup time! It's so easy - you might already be doing it.

1.) Get thee some probiotics - pronto. Not talking celebrity endorsed yogurt here. Fermented foods like kimchi, natural sauerkraut and kefir. A refrigerated, concentrated probiotic supplement helps. Drink kombucha. Bifidobacterium breve and Lactobacillus casei were found to extract BPA from the blood of mammals and were excreted out through the bowels. That is very good news!

Beneficial bacteria strengthen the gut and break down chemicals like BPA so they can be cleared out. As a bonus, they break down pesticides, another major endocrine-disruptor. Probiotics are becoming well known for breaking down endocrine-disruptors in the body.

2.) Black tea is found to reduce BPA toxicity. Drink loose leaf - black tea has many, many other health benefits besides reducing BPA.

3.) A great naturopath can make this process a lot easier and faster; first by targeting the endocrine system and chemical levels in the body. They can find the perfect supplements that both detox and strengthen this system, restoring hormonal balance. Think of how many issues that kind of help could clear up. Some people feel so much better after this process that they didn't realize just how poorly they really felt before!

4.) Often found in alternative practices (but also many spas and salons now) are high-powered ionic foot baths that pull just about everything from the feet. It's really something to see what that water looks like afterward. Limit one per week so as not to detox too quickly and cause a healing crisis. Ten weeks in a row will have you feeling great and should cut down on your healthcare costs. What a fantastic way to finally get a leg up on your health and clear years of toxic build-up.

5.) Sweat it out. When researchers started testing different ways that BPA bioaccumulates in the body, they discovered that BPA was detected in sweat and thought that method should be considered in newer research projects as a way to track accumulation, like when urine is tested. They found that: "Induced sweating appears to be a potential method for elimination of BPA." Many wellness centers now have steamless saunas to help with sweat detox.

6.) There is a homeopathic available that strengthens and detoxes the endocrine system of BPA. It includes a potentization that cancels out the presence of BPA and chemicals from plastics. It's available on this page; scroll down and look for Plastic/BPA Detox. You'll also see that it includes homeopathic ingredients to strengthen the endocrine system.

7.) Quercetin is a flavonoid found in fruits, veggies, leaves, tea and whole grains. Like black tea, it ameliorates toxicity from BPA. It is also available in supplement form. It should probably come as no surprise that quercetin is great for allergies!

Our Chemical Lives And The Hijacking Of Our DNA... by Catherine Frompovich is a huge eye-opener of the damage done from exposure to all the environmental chemicals we encounter everyday; and it includes solutions.

Any time you fight with detoxification and nutrition you are strengthening and empowering yourself against environmental toxins. Best of all, you will strengthen your immunity, your best friend for remaining healthy in a toxic world.

Android to settle with FTC over flashlight app that sent location data to advertisers

An Android developer is going to settle charges with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over their free application masquerading as an innocent flashlight application that actually transmitted the “precise location” data of millions of users to third-party advertisers.

Android apps have been notorious for their invasions of privacy. Reports earlier this year revealed that the Facebook application for Android stole users’ phone numbers without their consent and in early 2012 the Facebook application was shown to spy on users’ text messages. An early 2013 report also showed that Google sent personal information to app developers without the knowledge or consent of users.

In this case, the application called “Brightest Flashlight Free,” downloaded between 50 and 100 million times, was shown to send location data to advertisers along with the unique device identifier, all without the user having any clue it was going on.

The app description on the Google Play store makes no mention of this practice.

The FTC complaint states that the developers “deceived consumers about how their geolocation information would be shared with advertising networks and other third parties,” a charge which they apparently did not dispute.

The complaint “alleges that the company’s privacy policy deceptively failed to disclose that the app transmitted users’ precise location and unique device identifier to third parties, including advertising networks.”

To make matters even worse, the application actually presented users “with an option to not share their information, even though it was shared automatically rendering the option meaningless.”

The deceptive practices of the developer did not end there.

Users were presented with the company’s End User License Agreement, which included a section on data collection, when first opening the application.

The bottom of the application allowed users to either accept or refuse the terms, but the app was collecting and transmitting personal information to third parties before the user accepted anything.

“When consumers are given a real, informed choice, they can decide for themselves whether the benefit of a service is worth the information they must share to use it,” said Jessica Rich, the director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the FTC. “But this flashlight app left them in the dark about how their information was going to be used.”

In the settlement reached between the FTC and GoldenShores Technologies, the developer can no longer deceive users about how their information is collected and shared.

Furthermore, consumers will have control over the way their information is used and will be fully informed about “when, how, and why their geolocation information is being collected, used and shared.”

In the future, GoldenShores Technologies will be required to get the “affirmative express consent” from users before collecting and sharing location data.

The company is also required to delete personal data collected from users through the Brightest Flashlight app as part of the settlement.

Fluoride: Killing Us Softly

water-fluoridation-1

There’s nothing like a glass of cool, clear water to quench one’s thirst. But the next time you or your child reaches for one, you might want to question whether that water is in fact, too toxic to drink. If your water is fluoridated, the answer may well be yes.

For decades, we have been told a lie, a lie that has led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans and the weakening of the immune systems of tens of millions more. This lie is called fluoridation. A process we were led to believe was a safe and effective method of protecting teeth from decay is in fact a fraud. For decades it’s been shown that fluoridation is neither essential for good health nor protective of teeth. What it does is poison the body. We should all at this point be asking how and why public health policy and the American media continue to live with and perpetuate this scientific sham.

The Latest in Fluoride News

Today more than ever, evidence of fluoride’s toxicity is entering the public sphere. The summer of 2012 saw the publication of a systematic review and meta-analysis by researchers at Harvard University that explored the link between exposure to fluoride and neurological and cognitive function among children. The report pooled data from over 27 studies- many of them from China- carried out over the course of 22 years. The results, which were published in the journal Environmental Health Sciences showed a strong connection between exposure to fluoride in drinking water and decreased IQ scores in children. The team concluded that

“the results suggest that fluoride may be a developmental neurotoxicant that affects brain development at exposures much below those that can cause toxicity in adults.” [1]

The newest scientific data suggest that the damaging effects of fluoride extend to reproductive health as well. A 2013 study published in the journal Archives of Toxicology showed a link between fluoride exposure and male infertility in mice. The study’s findings suggest that sodium fluoride impairs the ability of sperm cells in mice to normally fertilize the egg through a process known as chemotaxis. [2] This is the latest in more than 60 scientific studies on animals that have identified an association between male infertility and fluoride exposure.[3]

Adding more fuel to the fluoride controversy is a recent investigative report by NaturalNews exposing how the chemicals used to fluoridate United States’ water systems today are commonly purchased from Chinese chemical plants looking to discard surplus stores of this form of industrial waste. Disturbingly, the report details that some Chinese vendors of fluoride advertise on their website that their product can be used as an “adhesive preservative”, an “insecticide” as well as a” flux for soldering and welding”.[4]   One Chinese manufacturer, Shanghai Polymet Commodities Ltd,. which produces fluoride destined for municipal water reserves in the United States,  notes on their website that their fluoride is “highly corrosive to human skin and harmful to people’s respiratory organs”. [5]

The Fluoride Phase Out at Home and Abroad

There are many signs in recent years that indicate growing skepticism over fluoridation. The New York Times reported in October 2011 that in the previous four years, about 200 jurisdictions across the USA moved to cease water fluoridation. A panel composed of scientists and health professionals in Fairbanks, Alaska recently recommended ceasing fluoridation of the county water supply after concluding that the addition of fluoride to already naturally-fluoridated reserves could pose health risks to 700,000 residents. The move to end fluoridation would save the county an estimated $205,000 annually. [6]

The city of Portland made headlines in 2013 when it voted down a measure to fluoridate its water supply. The citizens of Portland have rejected introducing the chemical to drinking water on three separate occasions since the 1950’s.  Portland remains the largest city in the United States to shun fluoridation.[7]

The movement against fluoridation has gained traction overseas as well. In 2013, Israel’s Ministry of Health committed to a countrywide phase-out of fluoridation. The decision came after Israel’s Supreme Court deemed the existing health regulations requiring fluoridation to be based on science that is “outdated” and “no longer widely accepted.”[8]

Also this year, the government of the Australian state of Queensland eliminated $14 million in funding for its state-wide fluoridation campaign. The decision, which was executed by the Liberal National Party (LNP) government, forced local councils to vote on whether or not to introduce fluoride to their water supplies. Less than two months after the decision came down, several communities including the town of Cairns halted fluoridation. As a result, nearly 200,000 Australians will no longer be exposed to fluoride in their drinking water.[9]

An ever-growing number of institutions and individuals are questioning the wisdom of fluoridation. At the fore of the movement are thousands of scientific authorities and health care professionals who are speaking out about the hazards of this damaging additive. As of November 2013, a group of over 4549 professionals including 361 dentists and 562 medical doctors have added their names to a petition aimed at ending fluoridation started by the Fluoride Action Network.  Among the prominent signatories are Nobel Laureate Arvid Carlsson and William Marcus, PhD who served as the chief toxicologist of the EPA Water Division.[10]

The above sampling of recent news items on fluoride brings into sharp focus just how urgent it is to carry out a critical reassessment of the mass fluoridation campaign that currently affects hundreds of millions of Americans. In order to better understand the massive deception surrounding this toxic chemical, we must look back to the sordid history of how fluoride was first introduced.

How to Market a Toxic Waste

“We would not purposely add arsenic to the water supply. And we would not purposely add lead. But we do add fluoride. The fact is that fluoride is more toxic than lead and just slightly less toxic than arsenic.” [11]

These words of Dr. John Yiamouyiannis may come as a shock to you because, if you’re like most Americans, you have positive associations with fluoride. You may envision tooth protection, strong bones, and a government that cares about your dental needs. What you’ve probably never been told is that the fluoride added to drinking water and toothpaste is a crude industrial waste product of the aluminum and fertilizer industries, and a substance toxic enough to be used as rat poison. How is it that Americans have learned to love an environmental hazard? This phenomenon can be attributed to a carefully planned marketing program begun even before Grand Rapids, Michigan, became the first community to officially fluoridate its drinking water in 1945. [12]  As a result of this ongoing campaign, nearly two-thirds of the nation has enthusiastically followed Grand Rapids’ example. But this push for fluoridation has less to do with a concern for America’s health than with industry’s penchant to expand at the expense of our nation’s well-being.

The first thing you have to understand about fluoride is that it’s the problem child of industry. Its toxicity was recognized at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, when, in the 1850s iron and copper factories discharged it into the air and poisoned plants, animals, and people.[13]   The problem was exacerbated in the 1920s when rapid industrial growth meant massive pollution. Medical writer Joel Griffiths explains that “it was abundantly clear to both industry and government that spectacular U.S. industrial expansion – and the economic and military power and vast profits it promised – would necessitate releasing millions of tons of waste fluoride into the environment.”[14]  Their biggest fear was that “if serious injury to people were established, lawsuits alone could prove devastating to companies, while public outcry could force industry-wide government regulations, billions in pollution-control costs, and even mandatory changes in high-fluoride raw materials and profitable technologies.” [15]

At first, industry could dispose of fluoride legally only in small amounts by selling it to insecticide and rat poison manufacturers. [16]   Then a commercial outlet was devised in the 1930s when a connection was made between water supplies bearing traces of fluoride and lower rates of tooth decay. Griffiths writes that this was not a scientific breakthrough, but rather part of a “public disinformation campaign” by the aluminum industry “to convince the public that fluoride was safe and good.” Industry’s need prompted Alcoa-funded scientist Gerald J. Cox to announce that “The present trend toward complete removal of fluoride from water may need some reversal.” [17]   Griffiths writes:

“The big news in Cox’s announcement was that this ‘apparently worthless by-product’ had not only been proved safe (in low doses), but actually beneficial; it might reduce cavities in children. A proposal was in the air to add fluoride to the entire nation’s drinking water. While the dose to each individual would be low, ‘fluoridation’ on a national scale would require the annual addition of hundreds of thousands of tons of fluoride to the country’s drinking water.

“Government and industry – especially Alcoa – strongly supported intentional water fluoridation… [it] made possible a master public relations stroke – one that could keep scientists and the public off fluoride’s case for years to come. If the leaders of dentistry, medicine, and public health could be persuaded to endorse fluoride in the public’s drinking water, proclaiming to the nation that there was a ‘wide margin of safety,’ how were they going to turn around later and say industry’s fluoride pollution was dangerous?

“As for the public, if fluoride could be introduced as a health enhancing substance that should be added to the environment for the children’s sake, those opposing it would look like quacks and lunatics….

Two German students have vandalised part of the Pyramid of Khufu to help 'prove' their Lost Civilisation theory

VALID research or vandalism? Egyptian authorities are in uproar after two German students scraped away some ancient writing to "prove" the Great Pyramids are 20,000 years old.

Supporters of the popular story that the Pyramids are evidence of a lost civilisation from the dawn of time consider the reaction all part of an ancient conspiracy.

Internet forums, books and doccumentaries all rage against the "old guard" for hiding the "truth" and refusing to take their ideas seriously.

Now, they have a pair of Indiana-Jones style heroes: Two German students who stole into the Great Pyramid to scrape away at an ancient cartouche.

The painted cartouche which named Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops) is scrawled in a small compartment above his burial chamber in one of the three Great Pyramids at Giza.

Their idea is a popular one: That the Great Pyramids were merely "refurbished" by the Old Kingdom Pharaoh credited with its construction in the 26th Century BC. They argue the official dating of the Pyramids is solely based on the presence of the ancient red cartouche.

The two students from Dresden University recently took matters into their own hands: With Egypt's political turmoil distracting security forces, the pair conspired to sample the red paint and smuggle the pigment out of Egypt.

They have since asserted the fragments support arguments that the construction of date of the Pyramids was much older than Khufu's reign.

Accredited archaeologists dismiss the claim as a fanciful conspiracy theory.

"This is totally false and nonsensical," said Ahmed Saeed, professor of ancient Egyptian civilisation at Cairo University.

Rejecting the "Lost Civilisation" argument

Professor Saeed said it was not certain that the ancient graffiti was written at the time of the pyramid's construction, though it is generally accepted it was put there in year 17 of Khufu's reign. However, it could have been scrawled there at any point in the following centuries as the tomb had been looted deep in antiquity, he said.

Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, head of the ancient Egyptian department, asserted yesterday that more than two centuries of archeology had amassed a "multitude of scientific research" that irrefutably tied the Great Pyramids to King Khufu.

"A pyramid is not a sole object; it is part of a structural complex connected to each other. This includes the pyramid itself, the funerary temple, the side pyramid, solar boat pits, the ramp and the valley temple," Maqsoud wrote in a press release.

He pointed to the writings of Greek historian Herodotus who visited Egypt in the fifth century BC. He wrote of paintings on the ramp of Khufu's Pyramid which detailed scenes from the Pharaoh's era - including its construction. This ramp was disassembled and used to build nearby pyramids during the Middle Kingdom, but many of these blocks still contain Khufu's name.

Other evidence includes papyri diaries of engineers working on the pyramid's construction, records of trading expeditions to get the construction materials and the excavation of a massive nearby worker's camp where the builders resided.

"Lost Civilisation" proponents dismiss the above as merely evidence Pharaoh Khufu extensively renovated existing structures.

Believers point to a small set of largely discredited studies and amateur postulations, including claims by a geologist that erosion patterns "prove" the Pyramids and Great Sphinx belong to a much older "lost civilisation" from 20,000 years ago.

International consequences

The German embassy in Cairo has issued a statement criticising the students' actions and reassured Egyptian authorities that they were not in any way associated with the German Archaeological Institute in an effort to avert any sanctions against the body.

Egypt's ministry of antiquities earlier this week condemned the action, saying it was a "great violation of Egypt's ancient heritage, and the great pyramid in particular - the only surviving monument of the seven wonders of the ancient world".

MSA minister Mohamed Ibrahim referred the case against the two Germans to the prosecutor-general for further investigation, alleging that both amateur archaeologists had broken Egyptian law by entering the pyramid and taking the samples without permission. Smuggling the pyramid material out of the country was also in breach of international law and UNESCO conventions relating to archeology, he said.

The students have been placed on an airport watch list and will be immediately arrested if they return to Egypt.

The Secret History of the Anunnaki and Their Mission on Earth w/ Michael Tellinger

Michael Tellinger, is an author, scientist and explorer. He has become a real-life Indiana Jones, making groundbreaking discoveries about ancient vanished civilizations at the southern tip of Africa. His continued efforts and analytical scientific approach have produced stunning new evidence that will force us to rethink our origins and rewrite our history books.

Scholars have told us that the first civilization on Earth emerged in a land called Sumer some 6000 years ago. New archaeological and scientific discoveries made by Michael Tellinger, Johan Heine and a team of leading scientists, show that the Sumerians and even the Egyptians inherited all their knowledge from an earlier civilization that lived in Africa more than 200,000 years ago... mining gold.
